Description:

The objective of this course is to give a practical understanding of the methodologies that may be used to develop performance standards for Safety Critical Systems, Subsystem and Elements. Attendance of safety Critical Elements identification course is recommended.
The following subjects will be discussed:
- Methodology of identification of Safety Critical Elements
(SCE),
- Compliance with regulation such as SEVESOII (COMAH)
and PFEER,
- Scope and boundaries of Performance Standard
- Definition of functionality for SCEs,
- Definition of Reliability/ availability for SCEs,
- Definition of Survivability,
- Definition of SCEs interactions,
- Assurance & Verification Scheme.
